To make it legal m8ty i believe it has to be fitted by a approved bike dealer? not 100% sure though Something to do with the certificate you need should you get stoped by the old bill or your insurance request`s it?

When I bought the daughters GS it was new from a dealer and it had a cert.
There are other ways. Do a search as this comes up regular

guess i was ripped off, paid £250 for my restrictor kit and fitting, selfish barstools!!! but what takes the p**s is when i tried to take the restrictor out, i cant find it, i know its the washer type but they wont tell me where it is ive looked every where for it.
Wolvecast, harry69koi is right it needs to be fitted by an approved dealer and a certificate supplied, but shop around for the cheapest

Isnt it between the airbox and the carbs air intake thingy? eg to restrict the airflow into the engine?

will either be washers between the inlet boot rubbers and carbs or there will be a hole horizontally through the main body of the black slides in the carbs and shorter springs. As far as im aware these are the only two methods of restriction. Let me know if you want some photos of the restricter slides so that you can compare. Hopefully its the washer type.

the washers arent there so im guessing its the slides, if i could have a photo that would be a great help, does the dealer have to de-restrict it aswell?

As long as your legal for a full powered bike you can do it yourself...your only returning it to standard. Youll need to take the top covers off the carbs with the springs, carefully lift out the diaphrams and the slides an needle assembly all come out together.
Heres a standard slide...
and heres the one used to restrict...
Sorry pictures are a bit bright. Hope this helps

I have heard of people using epoxy resin to fill the holes...I would do that rather than buy new ones
