I'm a member of the CX-GL MCC and after spending 9 months rebuilding the bike know all about the spares situation, and yes it did cross my mind to buy it back and sell the parts, hell I've a garage full of bits for it, but after all my hard work time and effort I don't want to do it. IF the bike is written off I'll make my mind up then.

Hope you feel better soon. On the bright side, it sounds like the crash bars paid for themseves as it could have been much worse. Enjoy the rebuild, sounds like an opportunity to fit a turbo!

If you could buy it back for £50 I think it would be foolish not to. Even if you just stuck it straight on ebay it's got to be worth more than £50.
