I've got new tyres!!

Well I 've ordered them at least, will have them fitted next week.

I didn't do much research really so went for a set of BT45's, they seem to be well regarded round here so that's good enough for me.

I read a few reviews though about them wearing quickly, is that peoples experiences here?

I'm not going to lose much sleep over it but don't want to have to replace them too often but I will be using the bike most days for commuting and plan on putting some serious miles on them this year.

I'll put them on this when they need changing.

I used them on "Dubios" and got some good mileage out of them... don't ask me how many as he used to chew speedo cables and I only botgere replaing it for the MOT.

They are dual compund so you do get decent mileage before they square off especiall if you commute on it like I did.

I used to get between 7 and 10k out of a rear, and I'd double that on the front.

Tyres fitted today. Bloody icy this morning. I thought I had booked the bike in for 10.30am so turned up a little late...I should have been there at 9.15am.

As it happens the dude (James) was completely cool with my lack of punctuality and took the bike.

Phone call a bit later to me saying the bearings in the rear wheel and sprocket were shot, so go ahead and get them replaced.

James and his wife at JK Motorcycles in Stirling do an outstanding job there and done me proud!

Got 60 miles in on the new tyres in sunny, dry beautiful Scottish conditions. Love them.

Thanks for the recommendations.

More photo's here.

Finally cleaned all the winter shit off the bike, mostly anyway, just don't look too closely...

New BT45's on too, really like them even though I'm still breaking them in I can tell they are quality rubber.

Oh, Bill meant to say that V7 is frackin' beautiful.
